A collection of artworks wanted by Maria Theresa of Austria in 1776 in order to train students of the nearby Academy of Fine Arts that Napoleon wanted to turn into a museum. It is located in the large complex of Brera together with other buildings such as the Braidense Library, the Astronomical Observatory, the Botanical Garden, the Lombard Institute of Sciences and Letters and the Academy of Fine Arts. It currently hosts one of the most important collections of Italian paintings distributed in 11 rooms. Among the authors of the artworks, we point out Andrea Mantegna, Caravaggio, Raphael, Giovanni Bellini, Donato Bramante, Correggio, Francesco Hayez, Umberto Boccioni and Amedeo Modigliani.

Atellani House is a fifteenth-century finely painted building, an ancient place for dinners and parties, one of the best place of social life in Milan. The frescoes are attributed to Bernardino Luini school and the last architectural renovation was by architect Piero Portaluppi, the author of Villa Necchi Campiglio.
Vineyard Leonardo was given to Leonardo da Vinci by Ludovico il Moro as a gift for the artworks that he made for Milan. Various ups and downs transfigured its look but now the vineyard has been brought to life and has been replanted the original grape: Malvasia di Candia.
This year has opened in Milan, in via Tortona 56, the MUDEC - Museum of Cultures.
The renovation of the old Ansaldo factory, model of industrial architecture, allowed the creation of a multidisciplinary center dedicated to the cultures of the world.

After 30 years of restoration work the "Sistine Chapel of Milan" is opened: the church of San Maurizio al Monastero is once again available to visit. 4,000 square meters of beautiful frescoes claimed to be painted byBernardino Luini and his school. The church is situated in Corso Magenta 15.

Expo 2015 Milano is open, but do you know how to reach it?
From Ariosto Hotel you will reach the underground at Conciliazione MM1 station in a 5 minute walk and take the the MM1 (Red line 1) to Rho Fiera Milano metro station (20 minutes travel-time).
